Community Living Ajax Pickering and Whitby would like to thank LOWES PICKERING for the generous donation and excellent work done in building a deck at 22 Clark Road, Ajax. A big thank you from the residents and employees of CLAPW to the Lowes Team who worked tirelessly and through the hot summer weather to complete the project. We have spent every moment possible to sit out on the deck and socialize. The flower garden planted around the deck added a welcoming touch and curb appeal to the home and neighbourhood.
CPP Garden http://cl-apw.org/wp-content/uploads/2016/07/CPP-Garden.pdf This year our CPP program has had the opportunity to give gardening a try. We have a small garden plot at the office location that has individuals planting beets, tomatoes, peppers and pumpkins to name a few. This is a first time project for this program and individuals are enjoying the fruits of their labours. We look forward to seeing some of their harvest. Congratulations to the individuals in the CPP garden program on their gardening success!
Thursday, June 9th, volunteers from Purdue Pharma in connection with the United Way gave their afternoon to help clean out our flowerbeds and put together our new vegetable garden with participants. This was a first time project for the Community Participation Program (CPP). We truly appreciate the generosity of all who contributed that day.
